A TRUE STORY

I awoke on Saturday morning 20th June and for the first time all year I didn’t have to do anything…no plans or appointments or work…I felt a little lost after having such a hectic year (I work full time and am studying massage therapy so Im usually working in the clinic on weekends).

I put my glad rags on and headed out with the intent of test driving a new car…..two steps out the front door and I was down on the ground in the blink of an eyelid! I had fallen in new boots and a slippery wooden deck…not thinking much of it after the shock wore off I hopped in the car and headed down town…it dawned on me that something was not quite right and thought Id better just get the check from a G.P. (seeing as I am going to be the worlds best massage therapist and all!).

The G.P., to my amazement, sent me off to the hospital for x-rays. Unfortunately for me the results were not good and I had fractured my wrist in 2 places.

All plastered up in the waiting room and in tears I called my Reiki teacher Lida in disarray as I had to complete the 2nd part of Reiki 2 the following day…..within 10mins Lida had me all sorted out with a lift to her place and lunch, relieved and happy I headed home to rest and relax!

Unfortunately I was so stressed out about the unusable wrist and how I was going to cope on my own for the next 6-8 weeks with the pain and medication not sitting well with me I didn’t really rest or sleep at all. I called Lida in the morning to apologise that I was unable to make it to the 2nd part of the Reiki class, we chatted and despite her excellent effort to convince me I just could not muster up the strength to attend the Reiki course. It was around 10mins after the conversation that something came over me and I leapt out of bed, showered and drove to Lidas to do Reiki 2.

The look on her face was priceless when I walked through the door and I was so very proud that I had risen above. I was very nervous and almost frightened through the first part of the day and totally exhausted by the end of the day, the group and Lida were so supportive and gave me so much energy to get through.

10 days after my fractured I had to go to hospital to have the plaster re-set, I went for x-rays and reported back to the doctor, he said “what did you do again?” I said I fractured my wrist twice, he pulled out the original x-rays where he could see the fractures clearly.

Then he sent me back to x-ray again…

to my total amazement on the 2nd x-ray there was no evidence of any fracture in my wrist…it was completely healed, although I still had swelling and pain in my wrist.

Such is the power of healing and love.

Today, Australian Reiki Connection Inc (ARC Inc) has grown to become the leading Reiki Association in Australia; its major strength stemming from the fact, that it is run by members for members.
